Mr Jonathan Nicholls
Consultant Gynaecologist and Urogynaecologist
Jonathan Nicholls qualified from Westminster Hospital, London in 1985. He was awarded his MD at Imperial College, London for his research into metabolic disorders.
He undertook higher surgical training in Bristol developing his continence and pelvic floor expertise at the Bristol Urology Institute. Following his appointment to the Oxford Radcliffe Trust, based at the Horton Hospital, Banbury, he has developed and leads the pelvic floor and continence service. He has focused on minimal access ((keyhole) surgical techniques to treat continence and menstrual disorders.
He has published widely in peer reviewed journals and during his higher training was awarded a training fellowship to visit Harvard Medical School. He has a strong interest in training and is the Clinical Tutor at the Horton Hospital and a recognised as a preceptor in laparoscopic surgery by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist.
Jonathan is married with 4 children. He is based in Banbury but also works in Oxford, in conjunction with his Oxford Urogynaecology colleagues. His NHS practice is based at the Horton Hospital Banbury and he practices privately at the BMI Foscote Hospital, Banbury and The Nuffield Manor Hospital, Oxford. He is also consults NHS and private patients in Shipston-on-Stour.
