Mr Hirsch qualified from the University of Southampton before training in London for over a decade in five separate specialist centres for endometriosis and advanced key-hole surgery.

During his time in training, he was awarded an MD doctoral degree from Queen Mary University of London for research into diagnostic and treatment strategies for endometriosis. This has led to an extensive research career helping to advance the speciality with over 40 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and invited keynote lectures. These have been recognised with national awards from the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) and NHS Improvement.

Mr Hirsch practices in the NHS at Oxford’s prestigious John Radcliffe Hospital as a Consultant gynaecologist and endometriosis specialist surgeon. He runs specialist clinics and theatre lists for advanced laparoscopic procedures, endometriosis, and hysteroscopy.

He is an elected senior council member for the BSGE and chair of the national working party for thoracic endometriosis care. Within the BSGE, Mr Hirsch coordinates an international webinar and podcast series to promote endometriosis awareness and collaboration amongst experts.

He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RCOG); European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology; and The Medico-Legal Society. You can see Mr Hirsch privately at both the Manor Hospital Oxford and The John Radcliffe.
